IPAN Launch Event. Photo by IPAN. Yesterday I attended the IPAN Launch Event. It was the second Launch event we hosted. The first one was in 2006 and had a similar set-up: a lot of projects and companies about to launch present their companies at small tables in a big room. People walk around and get personal demos and presentations. We also had a jury (Johan van Mil, Han Gerrits and Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten) who spoke with all the companies and chose a winner. Something interesting is happening. It seems that I am becoming a ‘Networking Specialist’. In Holland we don’t really have Santa. We have ‘Sinterklaas’ who does pretty much the same as Santa. Gifts, food and familytime! But tonight is also IPAN night and we decided not to cancel the event even though we don’t expect many visitors. In fact, I’m here now, and I’m the only one…. 5 minutes later…. Next to Fleck.com and my other projects I’m also chairman of the Interactive Professionals Association Netherlands (better know as IPAN). Normally IPAN has a monthly meeting every first tuesday or the month. This month the meeting wwill be held on the second tuesday of the month, september 12th.
