Living together with water. Keep your enemies close. I think it’s another testcase of our government on how to move as fast as possible once the dykes can’t resist the continuous attacks by storms and exceptional hightides anymore.
My guess is it is someone from Amsterdam who waited for a parking permit for 3 years and now gave up. He is moving to Groningen and decided to take his house with him.
Just when I was watching the video, I heard the bells/tingle from the bridge at the Kattenburgerstraat. So if anyone is out there at the ‘Theaterfabriek’ or the ‘Czaar Peterbuurt’ we can track&trace the floating house… :)
Shall I give away the secret of the floating house?…….
It’s a Piet Boon floating house, it’s meant as a demo for the builder of these kinds of houses. It was laying behind CS for a couple of months so people who are interested in buying a “waterkavel” on IJburg could see how a floating house could look like.
It’s probably heading home (I think that’s somewhere in Flevoland). I’ll post a comment here when I can see it out of my window ;-)

That is pretty cool Jasper!
