Premature Optimization is a term I picked up yesterday (From the Wakoopa guys) during lunch. I wanted to blog about it but the concept is well known among developers and often blogged about. So here is a drawing I made instead.

I used to make these little drawing all the time when I was in art school. Then I stopped. Today, as I was looking for an excuse for NOT doing what I REALLY need to be doing I noticed this little notebook on my desk and decided to draw a little. It is going to take a while for me to get used to drawing again. Maybe I can find some old work and get some inspiration from that.
But then Oscar Kneppers came up with a beautiful plan. I’m not going into all the details here because I want to leave that to Bright Magazine but it involved Mark Hoekstra and you can see the result here:
My blog still gets a lot of visitors who are looking for BeFunky invites. My blog is the first result in Google if you search for Befunky Invites and it is also listed on Mahalo.com at the general BeFunky page there.
Today Tekin Tatar emailed me 40 (!) new invitation codes to hand out! If you want one simply send me an email and I will email you one back as soon as I get a chance.
My father is a well known architect from Rotterdam. After visiting the Next Web Conference in Amsterdam last year he decided to organize a conference about the future of architecture. It grew into a pretty impressive event over the previous months!
The Architecture 2.0 conference will be held on November 9 in ‘De Doelen’ in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and is organized together with NAi (the dutch architecture museum) in Rotterdam.
The event will be opened by the mayor of Rotterdam, Ivo Opstelten, closed by Chief Government architect Mels Crouwel and moderated by Ole Bouwman who is the director of the dutch architecture museum ‘NAi‘.
If you are interested in the future of architecture you should definitely try to get a ticket now before they are sold out.
