Ordered New Books

The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly ImprobableOne of the things I like most about going away on a trip is the inspiring new books I get to read. Every year I pack my bags with at least 30 books I collected over the year.

This is my vision of the perfect vacation: sitting next to a swimming pool, in the shade, together with my girlfriend, my two daughters playing next to us, a cold bottle of Coca Cola, my sunglasses and Blackberry within reach and a stack of books on small table next to me.

I have a large stack waiting to be read but I also ordered a few new ones just now:

Lullaby by Chuck Palahniuk

The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich by Timothy Ferriss

Con Ed by Matthew Klein

Everything Is Miscellaneous: The Power of the New Digital Disorder by David Weinberger

A Case of Need by Michael Crichton

The High-Performance Mind by Anna Wise

The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards

The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable by Nassim Nicholas Taleb

More Sex Is Safer Sex: The Unconventional Wisdom of Economics by Steven E. Landsburg

Dreaming in Code: Two Dozen Programmers, Three Years, 4,732 Bugs, and One Quest for Transcendent Software by Scott Rosenberg

A Place So Foreign and Eight More by Cory Doctorow

Overclocked: Stories of the Future Present by Cory Doctorow

Founders at Work: Stories of Startups’ Early Days by Jessica Livingston

The Dip: A Little Book That Teaches You When to Quit (and When to Stick) by Seth Godin

Sounds a lot like last year’s vacation…so you need to add a few things to your favourites….like my mother looking after my daughters and my sister washing my clothes for me…..;-)

    Sis’ kiss
