Benefitr.com = Minimarketing

sponsormijnvideos.nlA few months ago I came up with an OpenIdea. I named it Benefitr.com. The idea is simple: Benefitr.com is a service where people can offer marketing services in exchange for products.

The inspiration for this idea came from an earlier post where I requested a Blackberry Pearl in exchange for a link on my blog. After that I read about Marjolijn who requested a Canon Eos on givemeaneos.nl and then iwanttogotothenextwebconferenceforfree.com by Roeland.

I figured it would be a good idea to harness the collective power of thousands of ‘mini-marketeers’ who want to come up with great little ideas to promote the products they love, in exchange for the products they love.

Benefitr = Minimarketing

Yesterday I got a message from Robert that he started sponsormijnvideos.nl. He wants to start a videoblog and needs a camera so decided to build a site to find a sponsor.

Another great example of Minimarketing.

At this moment people (Bram and Lennaert) are working on the website and back-end of Benefitr.com. It should be ready in a few weeks and then we can all build pages requesting free products.

UNCONFIRMED: I just heard that Robert is negotiating with 3 different companies who ALL want to sponsor his camera!

Lijkt op ReviewMe.com

Yes it does! Only difference is that ReviewMe.com is targeting companies who want to promote items and Benefitr.com targets users who want to have something. The difference is that users are more likely to come up with extraordinary things…

@Ellemijn: depends on what you are willing to do in return… ;-)

Ellemijn, I don’t think you have to do anything really. Just ask.
