Barend from Big Bang Ventures
We are having dinner with Barend from Big Bang Ventures. He is the judge for the Start-up arena and has the awful job of deciding who gets a table at The Next Web Conference.
We are going over ALL the start-ups right now with a little help from a fine bottle of Brouilly Pisse-Vieille, oysters and rib-eye.
As Patrick and I were exchanging oysters (different recipes) Barend offered us some, on the spot, good advice; he noticed us sharing some food and liked that. He said;
“business partners sharing everything, even food, is exactly what an investor is looking for. A team that is so close can handle anything”
He actually accused us of planning the whole thing to make a good impression on him.
PS: Flickr blog posting seems to be out of order so that is why it took so long before this post arrived here. I posted it first during dinner.
