I am one of the jurors on a dutch show titled ‘Elevator Pitch‘. It is broadcasted on Amsterdam local TV station AT5. It was on tonight so I received a few messages from people who saw it. I was in Rotterdam, to pick up my daughters (Faye and Loïs) who were staying with my parents, and had forgotten (how blasé!) about the whole thing.
But AT5 uploaded the first segment to their WordPress powered website so you can watch it. Unfortunately the movie is in WMF format and my mother doesn’t have Windows Media Player installed so I didn’t see it yet.
But go ahead and check it out (Dutch only, sorry) and let me know what you think in the comments here!
UPDATE: being on TV doesn’t help me with my Google Rank. Somehow I dropped from result number 9 to result number 11 over the weekend. That means I am no longer on the first page of Google if you search for “Boris“. If you can spare me some linklove please link to my blog and help me get the number one spot.

hahaha, join the club, my pagerank dropped from 6 to 5 to 4?! And in the meantime I’m up on traffic, links, etcetera… beats me… But I’m not much of a SEO-guy anyway, somehow I like to concentrate on content and content alone and whatever Google does is fine by me… (and so far you won’t hear me complain about the amount of traffic Google gives me, whatever they decide what my pagerank is…)
Oh btw, if you happen to have a nice 80×15 button, I’ll put you in my ‘blogroll’ (which isn’t actually a blogroll, psssst, don’t tell anyone! ^_^)

Unbelievable, I thought there are so many Guido’s that my person would show up very late in the search engines ! So I never looked at it before, but I am actually #6 at Google!

It does probably tell us that the Dutch are popular on the web, even with ‘foreign’ first names :)

To be fair to you though, there are 34 mio Guido references in Google and 48 mio for Boris, so you have a tougher position…
My name does not even show up in the first 10 pages, I guess there are just too many famous Eric’s in this world…

Hmm… Dutch is a pretty cool language it seems. Kinda like a mixture of Swedish, English and German. If it wasn’t for that Swedish part… maybe I’d understand it:D
I wanted to do it the last time… But I’ll do it now. Here goes criticism:
I don’t get it why you cut your header like that. I wouldn’t say it is visually too great to cut your head and upper body off.
I understand that you wanted to achieve the effect of being everywhere on the header. But it doesn’t look good on a header with a size 750×76.
If I was I would take away the legs and the body and would move two right pictures a little bit more down so the head could be completely seen.
