Get As Many Joost.com Invitations As You Want…
A few days ago I posted that I now had 999 invitations to sent. Since then that post has received 22 comments and I have personally invited 20 people. Since there seems to be great interest I have decided to just post my own Joost Account details so you can go in there and invite yourself AND your friends if you want.
First, download the application here:
Then use my account data to log in:
Username: markies
Password: 123456
Then start the application, log in, click on the ‘My Joost’ area on the right and invite yourself and your friends. Don’t forget to log out and use your personal invitation.

Don’t abuse my trust please but do invite up to 10 friends and then log out. I wonder how long it takes to go through those 979 invites or my account to become suspended.

Not sure whatI am doing wrong, I am able to invite myself, but the invitee email does not have a username/password. i’m still logged into the system as you (since I dont have a username/password)

You folks are doing just what I did. And you will kick yourself … just like I did.
Follow the instructions from Mark (above on this thread) to delete the default profile. Then when you launch Joost you’ll see a button to start your own account (on the lower left side). Click on that, enter you name, password, etc. and off you go! Good luck and don’t kick too hard – lol.
Sorry but I can’t figure out how to log out.
Neither of these:
“C:\Program Files\Joost\xulrunner\tvprunner.exe†(info box only)
“C:\Program Files\Joost\application.ini†(40 lines, none of which seem to have what I need)
seems to show me the default profile. I think I’m still logged in as you…and I don’t want to be rude.
Help?
(I tried uninstalling, but that didn’t work… must be something somewhere)
someone changed the password. i cant login
@kreine (and others who experience problems logging out):
open up a commandline (start -> run -> cmd )
and type:
cd \Program Files\Joost\xulrunner (enter)
tvprunner.exe ..\application.ini -p (enter)
that will get you some kind of dialogbox where you see a profile, default. Just delete this default profile and start Joost again after that and you can start choosing a name and such

to make invition, at full screen mode, left click on the screen, click “my joost” if nothing comes then click “widget menu” select “invite friends”

Hi Filip: my guess is I sent something like 800 invitations now. Joost won’t let me see and I wonder if they actually count. It says I now have ‘NaN’ invitations left.
Anyway, if I run out I still have a few extra account which I can enable so in theory I have unlimited invitations.

For testing the bandwidth needed for Joost tv we gave it a try today.
The amount of upload might not be the problem, it just peaked at 30 kbyte.
Nevertheless , the download rate at 200 kbyte is substantial for a wireless community network. I hope this is not going to be a success, it might be the end of our network.
