OpenOffice: Yahoo Brickhouse

When we decided to go to San Francisco we thought it would be fun to work at a different company every day of the week. We posted an OpenOffice request on all our blogs and watched as the invitations came in.

Today we started out week in the offices of Yahoo Brickhouse where we were welcomed by CEO Salim Ismail. We are sitting in a conference room with a view of the office and have met a few people here.

We are wearing our white suits, drove here in our white car and have our almost completely white businesscards. We should drink milk too.

Brickhouse is like an Incubator for projects from within Yahoo. They don’t like the word Incubator though. One of the first projects to come out of Brickhouse was Yahoo Pipes, which we all use.
