Am I Quotable?
Yesterday we had Bas Könning as a speaker at IPAN. He is a Media Philosopher and an old friend and he spoke about how TV as we know it is changing. A very inspiring story!
At dinner before the event we were discussing business plans when Bas told me he often quoted me when it came to new ideas. Surprised I said ‘quoted me???‘ And Bas replied ‘Yes, and if I think the people I’m talking to know you I always mention your name too‘. I asked what the quote was and he quoted me:
“There is no shortage in good ideas but only in people to implement them…”
Original Dutch version:
“Ideeen genoeg, maar wie voert ze uit”
Not as cool as “ich bin ein Berliner” or “I think therefore I am” but it sure made my evening to know I’m quotable..
I think your quote is much better since you do not claim to be a some sort of traditional German food. Because that is what Kennedy said when he meant to say Ich bin Berliner. ;-)
