Mac OS X Mail Icon Inconsistencies?
April 12th, 2007
There is more important stuff in the world but I can’t help noticing that my Mail application uses different status icons at different times. And I don’t understand why.
Check it out:
Version 1: thin border for status bar:
![]()
Version 2: thick border for status bar
![]()
Noticed that too?

Lately I’ve been seeing similar stuff in MacOSX, not in Mail.app but inside of firefox where some text tends to be thicker than other text on the same page. Once I select the text it reverts back to the original thickness of the font. The Mail icon inconsistency looks very much like what I’ve seen in firefox..
But Boris, is this keeping you awake at night? :)
someone at the office noticed the same thing!
