No Pain No Gain
March 2nd, 2007
We asked a few friends to burn us CDs for the trip. Diederik (Twones.com) made us two CDs. One for ‘up the mountain’ and one for ‘down the moutain’. We just heard a song titled ‘No pain no gain’. Why is that? Why do things only apear good or great if you can that it tooks a serious effort. We want to see sweat and pain and sacrifice.
Why?

Good remark ! My experience in hiking & entrepreneurship would make my respond:
1) the more sweat you have to do for creating something or reaching a point, the more proudness (and pleasure) you get… it’s in human nature, I think.
2) if something is beautiful but too easy to get or reach, the competition spirit is not envolved for most of “big players” and so the reward is smaller.

3) It all seems to depend on your state of mind and outlook on life.
that’s a song on the ‘down the moutain’ cd. You played this song to early, reading your resent post ;)
It’s a way to handel pain.
