Invited to Joost.com but won’t join…

This weekend I received an invitation to betatest the Joost.com application. I’m interested in checking it out but I can’t. The software isn’t available for Mac, yet…

Why would any company launch something like this and not launch a Mac version at the same time?

We all know that only a small percentage of the world uses a Mac. But it should be known by now that those people that do are more likely to be early adopters, bloggers, connectors, buzzers and journalists.

Squash Photos

On Friday we had our yearly squash event. Present were Wouter, Robert, Diederik, Arjen, Patrick, Patricks Mother Ada and me.

We are at the amstel park squash, euh, park. Everybody is here from the companies mentioned in the title. As usual, Patrick is winning. His mother is training and coaching us all and I think he listens to him very well.

After this we will head into town for dinner and drink. With the emphasis on drinks.

But first we are going to strip complely naked and hit the sauna and swimming pool. Yes, no clothing allowed in this pool! So rush over for a few compromising shots of three start-up teams.

No DLD for me this year….

Patrick is going to DLD this weekend and suggested I go too. So I signed up and waited. yesterday I got this message:

Thank you for your application for the DLD conference.

Please note that we can not consider your application for DLD07.

We tried up until now to fit everyone - but the conference is now fully
booked.

Due to this year’s overwhelming interest we had to close the waiting
list. So unfortunately, we can not send out additional invitations.

All DLD conference sessions will be streamed online at:
http://www.dld-conference.com/

We will inform you about future DLDs. Again, thank you for your
interest.

Ski Shoes - Ugly but VERY comfortable

This is the fifth year we are going skiing and this year we decided to buy our own ski shoes. Someone mentioned, in detail, how extremely unhygienic it is to rent them and how much a shoe starts fitting your feet after a few days on the piste.

So last night Tessa and I went to a store and bought these shoes. As you can see they are ugly but VERY comfortable.
