Web Worker Daily copies post without giving credit?

Business, Inspiration, Personal, Press

Copy this...So on sunday (17th) I wrote a post titled “10 items you NEED to pack as a Mobile Worker…“. I starts with a link to Web Worker Daily, that it is one of my favorite blog and how I wish I could read a blog like this on their website.

On Monday I notice a few incoming links in my stats from the management section of Web Worker Daily. “Cool…” I think “…they read my blog too!”
This morning I notice that Web Worker Daily (Chris Gilmer) published an article titled “Web worker on the road – 10 items for your daily travels“.

It is clearly copied (inspired?) by my post on Sunday but there is no link to my blog or any mention of it. I left a comment and sent them a message too. No reply so far.

UPDATE: Anne Zelenka has updated the original post and added a few links to my posts and blog. I feel much better now!

They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery.
But I feel just disappointed.
Bloggers should give each other credit, shouldn’t they?

Our bad, Boris, I am so sorry. I will immediately edit that post to link back to yours. I actually saw your post and then saw that one of our writers had written a similar one, I assumed that he had linked back to you but didn’t follow up.

Please feel free to contact me by email if you have any other concerns.

  3. Hi Anne Zelenka, thank you for updating the post and the fast reply!

  4. It is about sharing and contributing not about ego and personal growth…

  5. Raimo: good point too. Maybe I shouldn’t have complained then and just be happy that I was able to contribute. But contributing is just so much more fun when you get a thank you note, in the form of a link back…
