No time for lunch?

November 16th, 2006

In 45 minutes ill do a live interview, over the phone, with dutch radio. That means I have 30 minutes left for lunch. Minus 5 minute walk to and from the restaurant that I picked for lunch. When I get back Patrick and Robert are going for lunch. They are working now.

Arjen is in bed, sick. I don’t know what is wrong with him (jetlag, nerves, flu) but he threw up this morning and doesn’t feel good at all. Poor guy.

David Petherick made me a “Buy me a beer” page. It’s very funny and I look forward to drinking free beer!

Fresh December issue of Wired magazine

November 16th, 2006

Times SquareSure there are lots of negative things you could say about the USA.

But tonight I walked into a Borders bookstore at 9 PM and bought a new Wired magazine. In the Netherlands everything closes at 6 PM and it takes 3 more weeks before the december issue of Wired magazine is available.

I like it here….

we are here!

November 15th, 2006

A long flight and a long wait for our bags, cash and then taxi but we are here!

No we will go to the hotel, take a shower and then find a good hotspot to do some work.

Time to leave…

November 15th, 2006

It is 6;45 and I’m waiting for the cab that will take me, Patrick and Arjen to the airport. From now on I will be constantly waiting for things while travelling so I will have a Lot of time for these little QuickBlogs.

Fleck Businesscards

Fleck Businesscards.

Ironing shirts, packing bags, looking for my pasport, where is my ticket?

And printing and cutting 250 businesscards.

Not that we will need those because we have 4 white suits and 64 color pens so people can write their emailaddresses on us.

Did I forget anything?

Busy, stressed and alone?

November 14th, 2006

Tessa is staying in Lisboa (Lissabon, Lisbon) Portugal for a few days for work so I’m home alone with my daughters.

Fleck went into closed beta today so I spend hours emailing with people and fixing the last bugs and working on the interface. I was a bit nervous today because I didn’t know how people would react to the beta. But it all went fine so I feel very good now!

Even though I’m still a bit stressed and busy and without Tessa. Maybe the better description would be “Excited, ready and focused”.

Phantom Pain?

November 10th, 2006

A few hours ago I left Rotterdam. My parents live there and I brought my two daughters there for the weekend so I can be at the office to finish Fleck.

But when I arrived in Amsterdam I found out that I forgot my laptop bag. With my laptop and everything in it.

So now I’m in a bar in Amsterdam without my Powerbook and anything to do. I’m never without my laptop so I feel very weird….
